Memory, Love and its Discontents.

Where – East Melbourne Synagogue, 488 Albert St East Melbourne
For Rod, a well known author and journalist, East Melbourne was his first connection to Judaism. His family had a long history there and the shul became an important focal point for his Jewish searchings and eventual return to Judaism. The readings will cover the Jewish history of his well known family- the retailing Myers and fruit trading Silks, along with stories and anecdotes about East Melbourne Shul and his personal Jewish journey
